Resolved: Actual subscription cost was concealed
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement.
That was on May 24, 2024. I saw nothing about future charges and/or monthly installments at any point in the process, and, being a retired lawyer, I read everything. On June 24, 2024, my bank account was debited by eHarmony for another $144 something. Again, I have received no emails or text messages or even smoke signals warning me about an upcoming charge.
I have re-read every page I could find but still no information about the actual cost.
I sent an email to Customer Service. They responded by claiming that I agreed to a total subscription cost of $576 payable in 4 installments.
That's complete *** They clearly hid, concealed or otherwise made it impossible to find the actual charges, and based on the hundreds of complaints filed with various websites, I am just one of hundreds of customers that have been duped.
I tried to cancel the subscription on their website, but there is nothing to allow that (I don't care what they say in their responses to BBB or all of the other complaints - there is no way to cancel!). We'll see how this plays out, but be assured I will be sharing my experience on every social media platform I can find!

EHarmony fraud
I am being regularly called by their collection agency. I subscribed to eharmony and my first selection of partners were 100s to 1000s of km away.
Despite me requesting a maximum of 50km. I cancelled within a few hours. Later i noticed withdrawals through paypal. I contacted eharmony through the paypal site and there was no response so i stopped paypal payments.
This month the eharmony collection house has emailed and contacted me for the balance of my 6 mth subscription that i had cancelled.
I have attempted to speak with someone at eHarmony Australia and following is the online discussion.
They asked me to provide credit card details to pay to talk to someone. I refused to provid details. I will take this to ACCC if this

You I joined eHarmony specifying a match within 50km. All prospective dates were 100s to 1000s of km away so I attempted to cancel immediately. I emailed eHarmony. The law in Australia has strong consumer guidelines.
The service must fit what is advertised. I then saw that I had been charged and through PayPal lodged a discussion with eHarmony. There was no response. I will be taking this matter to ACCC if the collection house doesn't stop annoying me and also require return of past payment.
Check my record I did not use your service after the first select of very distant matches were allocated.

Accidentally orderd
I was looking at the different. Premium.
Account options. And I was trying to cancel. Because I did not want to pay for a membership.And I accidentally pushed the wrong button and they charged me $352 I emailed them yesterday Under the 3 day rule To cancel my subscriptiand they eat meld.Me band said that i'm not eligible for a refund...
So i'm going to call my bank first thing in the morning and put a stop payment on that debit... Because I feel that it was fraudulent charges

i received an email for a free three day subscription from eharmony.. I availed myself but thought the better of it after 24 hours.
Thinking I was in the window of canceling I went to my subscription and there was no way to cancel available. I searched the web and found info re: and it was the same info stated on their website. Basically the description of the button to cancel couldnt be found by me. and it most likely wouldn't be found by any one that took the bait.
So i sent a scathing email to customer service calling them on their *** Frustrating number one, that there was no phone contact available and two a claim that they would respond in 24 hours. I never received a reply from them. Pity the person that waited until the end of the last day to try and cancel and received automated reply that we'll get back to you in 24hours maybe. This is not a cheap dating site.
the minumum is a 6 month subscription 'light' at 359.00. I stated in my email that if they attempted to charge my account I'd report them to the Washington state attorney general for fraud. Interestingly there never was a reply and its now 5 days ( it was a 3 day free subscription). No reply and no charge to my account.
This speaks to an obvious attempt to evade responsibilty and to defraud a potential customer.
A poor way to run your business eharmony. Shame on you!

I want a refund
I ordered.
The premium account saturday two days ago... It when it gave me the option to select 1 or 4...
I was for sure that that meant.Do I want to pay for 1 month at a time or 4 months at a time. I selected 1... Thanking for sure that I would get charged $39 not $352.. Before it charged me it never gave me the amount that I would be charged..
This is FRAUD... I want a refund... I am fixing to report eharmony to the better business bureau...
And I'm canceling my debit card.
And opening up a fraud report at bank against eharmony... All this could be resolved simply by giving me a refund.

Denied membership
I signed up, spent a very long time filling out their questions and profile. I paid for 1 full year of membership at a 60% discount, so it was around $230 or something.
It was a discount they offered me.
After a couple weeks I noticed I wasn't getting a single hit.
I figured it was because I didnt do SMS verification.
So I tried to do SMS verification, it never sent me a text.
I tried a few more times and then their system said that my phone number was not valid.
So I emailed them, which was a PITA in itself.
They told me that they determined that my info was not valid or I violated some terms and that my profile was restricted.
they would not tell me what was wrong, and they offer no way to resolve THEIR MISTAKE.
They did not charge me.
I asked them to delete my whole account and never charge me.
What kind of company doesnt want valid paying users to pay for their service? Honestly I think they didnt like the fact that I only signed up because of a 60% discount that THEY offered me.
TBH, when I did have an account, I was able to view profiles, there wasn't much in my area...so I consider it a blessing and money saved...but time wasted.

It's a *** business, absolute scam and rip off! They have taken to misleading their customers, using fake photos, bots, encouraging all kinds of scammers
I chose J7Dream.com
as the site which got rid of scammers, they really have very strict anti-scam policy and I can see it's working, because I get to talk to and meet with real women. There is no background check on Eharmony, scammers are never banned.
They have made several attempts to put unauthorized charges on my bank account.
Cancelling your membership is a real challenge. So just avoid this site, it's not worth a minute of your time!

Unhelpful and unco operative
I simply wanted to change my original email to a different one so I could send photos. Despite providing all the details, such as credit card information, they were unprepared to make the change.
They informed me that I would not be entitled to any refund and suggested that I try to solve the issue myself. Despite suggesting ideas that I had already attempted, they stated that the account would be put on hold for the six months I had paid for.

You will not let me into my account. No one has responded to me in 72 hours of trying.
I have written this about three times already and no reply from you. I cant even cancel my membership if I wanted to complain about someone who was a scammer and you blocked them from my account.
And then all of a sudden in my messages, someone was in there answering some of them for me, it was not me.
How does this happen? No I am blocked from getting into my account with Noah Assistance from you guys.

Can't log into account
I forgot my password. password.
Then tried to change it and log in 3x - it still not working...l tried to log to my account with new passwords 3x, it doesn't let me in.
I created the new passwords, they are showing " password is invalid" even for new created password. I don't know, what else l can do, as l work on this for a week already.

But most of the time customer service does not answer. When they do its some Indian guy you dont understand. When you do they dont cancel because they make you to play store format. Screw that just cancel verbally.
